DPRK Poster on Education

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, on the basis of his deep insight into the role of science, technology and education in the socialist construction in the age of knowledge-based economy, intensively clarified the mutual relations between science and education and the fundamental way for epoch-making development of science and technology, and thus set forth a new idea that education is the mother of science.

The idea that education is the mother of science is, in essence, the idea that education is the foundation and prerequisite for the development of science and the development of science and technology depends on the quality of education.

Now that everything is decided by talents, able talents are badly needed in every field of the socialist construction, rather than materials or funds.

Therefore, the rapid and steady development can be achieved in every field of the socialist construction only when we constantly expand the ranks of talents by putting efforts into the development of education.

The talent needed by our Party is the revolutionary one who serves the socialist construction, devoting himself to the Party, revolution, country and people, and the creative one equipped with profound expertise, versatile knowledge, high faculties of inquiry and high ability to put into practice.

Only the talent, who is steadfast in idea and faith and capable of creating anything desired by the Party and people and strives to surpass the world our own way, can do his or her bit in the building of a prosperous country.

The idea put forward by General Secretary Kim Jong Un that education is the mother of science serves as the militant banner that inspires the officials and working people to turn out as one in developing the education of the country after recognizing and confirming again the importance and significance of education in the development of science and technology and the socialist construction.
