KR Mobile Page Speed Needs One Point Increase

By Pyol Kum

KR mobile page speed could have not marked 100 no matter how.

It is stably 99 for a normal page which consists of a text and a photo. When it has a YouTube video in the post, the point plunges.

To attain 99, KR has abandoned many beauties such as Font Awesome Icons, Google Fonts, Comments, Sharing Buttons and Google AdSense.

A series of sacrifices made this blog more purely personal. KR aspires toward something non-governmental and non-commercial.

Google PageSpeed Insights is more generous than Lighthouse, which gives KR further colorful advices.

One thing I learned at last: Never forget to add both width and height attributes to img markup.

For example, don't feel easy at data-original-height="400" data-original-width="600". Add height="400" width="600" beside it.

It would be about 1 point gain or loss. KR moved from 98 to 99 with this simple trick, beyond my feeling of doubt and uncertainty.

For the endeavor to go up 1 point higher, I put screenshots here.

My next labor of love will be jquery.min.js.
