Chima (skirt) and jogori (jacket) is a national costume of the Korean women.

Yu Ok Yong, head of the Jongro Korean Tailor's Shop under the Central District Combined Tailor Shop, told KCNA:

The superiority of the Korean chima and jogori is displayed in color and pattern, too.

The Korean women have usually put on different colors of chima and jogori according to seasons; soft and bright color in spring, fresh color as white and light blue in summer, refreshing color in autumn and gentle color in winter.

Its decorative patterns are well-matched with ground colors.

In making the traditional costume, ramie cloth and thin silk are fit for summer, such soft fabrics as figured satin and silk fabrics for spring and autumn, and velvet for winter.
