Vaccination report rejected

Hua Chunying, PRC MFA spokesperson, says she does not know where the information comes from.

The information she is referring to is the one Harry Kazianis, US expert, wrote in his blog on Monday as follows:

"North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and 'multiple other high-ranking officials within the Kim family and leadership network' have been vaccinated for Coronavirus 'within the last two to three weeks' thanks to a vaccine candidate supplied by the Chinese government according to two Japanese intelligence sources."

He added, both officials spoke to [his blog] 19FortyFive under the condition that their names not be identified.

Regarding the matter, Hua Chunying in her regular meeting with journalists on Tuesday said that she did not know the origin of information. "I haven't heard of it," she added.

After all, Kyodo News reported that the Chinese Foreign Ministry rejected the 'vaccination' report.

In June, months before this Kazianis report, it was Taro Kono who publicly raised his suspicion about the health of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un - at the days when he served as Japan's defense minister routinely served by Japan's defence intelligence.

Taro Kono has never been a journalist. So his remarks were not a sort of disdain for the journalistic note that Kazianis gifted to editors and journalists across the world in April.

This time, Kazianis cited unnameable sources from the intelligence community.

Hua Chunying in her briefing session said her country's vaccine candidates were in the phase III clinical trial. This means that they cannot be a global public product at the moment.

Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Hua Chunying's Regular Press Conference on December 1, 2020

Reuters: A U.S. analyst citing Japanese intelligence sources said that China has provided North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and his family with an experimental coronavirus vaccine. Can you confirm if that's the case and tell us any more details about it, if so?

Hua Chunying: I don't know where this information comes from. I haven't heard of it.

Multiple Chinese vaccine candidates have entered phase III clinical trials. We pledged that our vaccines, after development and deployment, will be made a global public product, and we will actively consider providing them to developing countries. We will act on our words. This is our general stance.
