KCU orgs' joint national meeting, June 6, 2019

June 6 marks the 74th anniversary of the Korean Children's Union (KCU), a mass political organization of schoolchildren in the DPRK.

Regarding the training of rising generations as an important affair related to the future of the revolution in his early years, President Kim Il Sung formed the Saenal Children's Union on December 15, Juche 15 (1926) to open the origin of the Korean children's movement.

The KCU, inheriting the tradition of the Anti-Japanese Children's Corps, was founded on June 6, Juche 35 (1946) under his guidance after Korea's liberation from Japan's colonial rule.

The KCU had advanced along the road of victory and glory under the leadership of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il, who trained with noble love for posterity its members into successors to the revolution shouldering the future of the country.

It is now greeting a new heyday of its development under the guidance of Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un who has creditably carried forward the great leaders' idea on the Juche-based children's movement.

Three million members of the KCU are preparing themselves as the able revolutionary talents of prosperous Korea under the slogan "Let us be always ready for socialist country!"
