Pandemic jar remains open

Number Cries.
Novel pandemic jar remains open for months. I don't know who opened it. It is not my interest to run after the so-called blame game, for international cooperation is more urgent in the war against the coronavirus.

In this world-first-rated health system country, I had never imagined I would have to read a "grim" story day after day. I feel no other than absurd, without earning from work, amid self-isolation.

The Capitol Hill reports, more than 50,000 people in the United States have died of COVID-19. The number is 16 times greater than that of Americans died in the 9/11 terrorist attacks and about 1.5 times larger than that of U.S. soldiers died in the Korean War, according to its Friday report.

At the current pace, the number of coronavirus deaths may surpass that of Americans died in the Vietnam War by the middle of next week, the Capitol Hill says and continues:

More than 870,000 people in the United States have tested positive for the virus that causes the disease, according to the most recent figures. That number has doubled in the past two weeks, climbing by 25,000 or more cases per day.

The U.S. now accounts for nearly one-third of the planet's 2.7 million cases, it reports.

What an unbelievable reality it is. Fact and forecast are beyond usual belief and optimism.

More absurd, however, is to see many headlines antagonistic to the DPRK that has reported "zero case". Should there be no land free from infectious disease on earth?

Blessed to be strongest in the world and best prepared with anything as you are, you should be able to believe the fact or miracle that even the condemned, weakest and worst prepared can get the amazing graceful zero point.

It may be "information war" supplanting "health war". In the latter one, the number is obvious as the Capitol Hill tells me. In the former one, the number is so opaque that fierce engagement unfolds. Ironically, the opponents are identical in both wars.

I do not hope the media fuss over somebody else's health causes effect of diversion from anti-coronavirus war in the United States.
