The US Air Force and the Japanese Air Self-Defence Force recently conducted a joint drill in the sky above the environs of Okinawa.

The drill involved a B-1 bomber of the Air Force from the US mainland, four F-16 fighters from the Misawa base and fifteen F-15 and F-2 fighters of the Air SDF.

It is reportedly the second time this year that the US bomber from its mainland and the fighters of the Japanese Air SDF have jointly conducted such exercise around Japan.
