Americans say no to war

"Over 80 Cities Protest Trump's War On Iran"

By Om Ryong

An anti-war demonstration was held in Washington DC on Jan 4 with the involvement of huge crowds in protest against the US’ missile attack on an airport in Baghdad, Iraq, and the administration’s attempt to additionally dispatch thousands of troops to the Middle East.

The protesters gathered in front of the White House with placards reading “No war, No sanctions on Iran” and “Withdraw GIs from Iraq”, and denounced the authorities for aggravating tension and increasing the danger of war in the Middle East.

Marching through streets, they demanded the withdrawal of US forces from the Mideast.

That day, similar protest actions were staged in New York, Chicago and other cities.
