Students affiliated to the Progressive Federation of Students of south Korea (UnivJinbo, see embedded below) staged a demonstration in Kwanghwamun Plaza of Seoul on Oct. 4 in protest against the U.S. intervention in south Korea's drill for defending Tok Island, according to the Seoul Economic Daily of south Korea.

The U.S. Department of State reportedly expressed discontent at the drill conducted by south Korea for defending Tok Island in late August, saying that it was not helpful in handling the pending issues.

Infuriated by this, the demonstrators protested against the U.S. intervention, holding a placard urging it to refrain from interfering in the internal affairs of south Korea and withdraw its forces from it.
