Anti-Japanese sentiments are growing among local self-governing bodies of south Korea in the wake of the unjust economic retaliation launched by Japan, according to KBS of south Korea on August 2.

A Japanese flag was removed in Kangnam District of Seoul under the eyes of citizens.

Japanese flags in other places also disappeared.

"Assemblies" of Seoul City and Kyonggi Province proposed regulations restricting purchase of goods from the Japanese war criminal businesses, and other local "assemblies" are also taking similar steps.

More than 120 local self-governing bodies have joined the anti-Japanese campaign.
