Day of War Victory celebrated in DPRK

The 66th anniversary of the victory in the Fatherland Liberation War was celebrated across the DPRK

Citizens visited the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun, the sacred temple of Juche where President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il lie in state, and paid tribute to the portraits of smiling Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il.

Working people, youth and students and servicepersons visited the statues and cemeteries of martyrs, monuments to the fallen soldiers of the Korean People's Army, and graves of martyrs in different parts of the country to pay tribute to the country's defenders of the great years.

Circus and magic performances were given at the Pyongyang Circus Theater and the jugglery theatre of the National Acrobatic Troupe to please the working people and youth and students celebrating the day of war victory.

An acrobatic gymnastics competition between the men's and women's players of Korea University of Physical Education and the sports team under the Ministry of Commerce took place at the Athletics Gymnasium in Chongchun Street.

A wartime song performance was given by war veterans in Haeju City.

There took place in different places the meetings of war veterans, trade union members, youth and students.
