Meeting of Korean Youth League in Japan held

The 2nd Meeting of the 24th Central Committee of the Korean Youth League in Japan was held at the Korean Hall in Tokyo on July 11.

Among those present were Jo Il Yon, vice-chairman and director of the Organization Department of the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon), Jo Myong Jin, chairman of the Central Standing Committee of the Korean Youth League in Japan, and members of the Central Committee of the youth league.

Jo Myong Jin said in his report at the meeting that the Korean Youth League in Japan has vigorously turned out in the struggle to bring earlier a new heyday of the movement of Koreans in Japan to implement the decision made at the 24th Congress of Chongryon, cherishing the sense of mission to reliably carry forward the patriotic cause of Chongryon.

He called on the youth league to play a vanguard role in the struggle for bringing earlier the new heyday of the movement of Koreans in Japan in the era of Kim Jong Un.

Then speeches were made.

Jo Il Yon said at the meeting underscored the need for the youth league to decisively bring about a radical turn in its work as required by the new era, bearing in mind the special solicitude and political trust shown by Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un.

A letter to Kim Jong Un was read out at the meeting.
