Teguh Santosa, secretary general of Indonesia-Korea Association for Friendship and Cultural Exchange |
The Pioneer Party of Indonesia and the Indonesia-Korea Association for Friendship and Cultural Exchange said this in their joint statement on June 11 to mark the first anniversary of the adoption of the June 12 DPRK-U.S. Joint Statement.
The statement noted that June 12 this year is the first anniversary of the first DPRK-U.S. summit meeting and talks held in Singapore and the adoption of the DPRK-U.S. joint statement.
It demanded that the U.S. thoroughly implement the joint statement and do not throw a wet blanket over the atmosphere of peace on the Korean peninsula.
It went on:
The U.S. should work hard to build confidence with the DPRK with a new way of calculation.
We fully support the Korean people in their struggle for peace and reunification of the Korean peninsula.
