Ecuadoran president Lenin Morales Garces on June 18 announced the stand not to allow the US military base installment in his country.
He publicized that there were not and there would not be foreign military bases in the country, especially in the Galapagos Islands.
He emphasized that it was incumbent upon his government to defend peace and sovereignty, and guarantee national security.
