All Koreans celebrate the 19th anniversary of June 15 north-south joint declration signed by leaders of the north and the south at their first-ever summit in Pyongyang.

On the occasion of the 19th anniversary of June 15 north-south joint declaration, media of the DPRK in unison emphasized that inter-Korean declarations signed last year were milestones for peace, prosperity and reunification of Korea and urged the south side to promptly implement them.

Rodong Sinmun (ko)

The Rodong Sinmun reported that the June 15 declaration was a landmark event in the national reunification history.

It said the three inter-Korean summits held between Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un and president Moon Jae In, following the 2000 joint declaration, opened a new era to realize the cause of independent reunification and made a strong foundation for the peace and security of the Korean Peninsula and the region.

The Uriminzokkiri also called for a more prompt implementation of the latest agreements in its editorial article.

"The Panmunjom Declaration and the September Pyongyang Joint Declaration are milestones for peace, prosperity and reunification that reflect the national consensus," it said.
