Cuba rejects the US sanctions measure

Miguel Mario Diaz-Canel Bermudez, president of the Council of State and president of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Cuba, Tuesday on his Twitter denounced the US for sanctions measures on its country.

With regard to the US Treasury Department's announcement of a new travel restriction measure on Cuba in the same day, he said Cuba will not be frightened with new US threats and sanctions, and emphasized that work, creativity, efforts and resistance is Cuban response.

Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla also strongly rejected the US measure. "They intend to strangle the economy and damage Cubans' standard of living, to wrest political concessions from us," he said.
