Spokesman for NPCK condemns s. Korean authorities for extending transfer of OPECON

Dangerous military conspiracy and nexus between the U.S. and the puppet regime

Pyongyang, October 31 (KCNA) -- The spokesman for the National Peace Committee of Korea (NPCK) Thursday issued a statement assailing the south Korean puppet authorities for extending the transfer of OPECON (wartime operation control) in collusion and conspiracy with the U.S.

The statement branded the puppet group's action as a hideous act of treachery putting the five traitors of 1905 into the shade who sold off the country to outside forces and a dangerous act of pushing the situation on the Korean Peninsula and the region to the brink of a nuclear war.

There are many countries and nations on the earth but it does not know such wicked sycophants and traitors as the south Korean authorities who offered a huge amount of money for refusing to take over the military sovereignty usurped by the outside forces, it noted, and continued:

South Korea which had been reduced to a colonial servant of the U.S. after bei…

Hostile forces hit for their moves to adopt anti-DPRK 'human rights resolution'

STATEMENT
By a spokesman for the DPRK Foreign Ministry

The hostile forces' moves to have an anti-DPRK "human rights resolution" adopted have reached a graver phase this year, timed to coincide with the U.S. start of all-out confrontation with the DPRK.

The DPRK has made earnest and sincere efforts to promote international dialogue and cooperation in the field of human rights for the purpose of steadily promoting the popular masses' enjoyment of human rights.

In the recent days the DPRK took a magnanimous stand to positively take into consideration the issue of conducting human rights dialogue which had been frozen due to the unilateral action of the EU and the issue of the visit of the UN special rapporteur on human rights issue in the DPRK to it for the purpose of promoting genuine human rights on the principle of respect for sovereignty, agreed with the matter of the visit of the EU representative with full mandate over human rights to the DPRK and expressed an i…

CPRK Secretariat Information bulletin No. 1077

Pyongyang, October 30 (KCNA) -- The U.S. and south Korean puppet authorities, at the recent 46th annual security consultative meeting in Washington, agreed to put off the transfer of OPECON (wartime operation control), which had been scheduled by 2015, until security circumstances in around the Korean Peninsula and core military capabilities of the south Korean forces are provided.

They also decided to keep the U.S.-south Korea Combined Forces Command and the U.S. 210th Fire Brigade, which had been planned to transfer to Phyongthaek, Kyonggi Province of south Korea, in Seoul and the area north of the River Han still before the OPECON transfer and continue their consultation on the proposed U.S.-Japan-south Korea sharing of military information.

In this regard, the Secretariat of the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of Korea released information bulletin No. 1077 on Wednesday.

Lurking behind such bargaining are the sinister intention of the south Korean puppet group to maintain…

DPRK will mercilessly shatter U.S. and its followers' 'human rights' campaign

STATEMENT by DPRK National Defence Commission

Pyongyang, October 25 (KCNA) -- The U.S. is going mad in its campaign to hurt the dignity of the DPRK and bring down its socialist system by fabricating the non-existent "human rights issue" as its moves for isolating and stifling the DPRK over its nuclear issue prove unsuccessful.

The U.S. "human rights" racket against the DPRK has reached a graver phase with the approach of the end of October before the UN General Assembly.

As regards the prevailing situation, the DPRK National Defence Commission on Saturday issued a statement clarifying its principled stand internally and externally upon the authorization.

The statement said:

First, Now that the U.S. "human rights" offensive against the DPRK has reached an extreme phase, the DPRK formally notifies the U.S. that the DPRK will settle accounts with those related to the offensive without the slightest clemency and by every possible means and methods generation after…

NRI exposes criminal nature of anti-DPRK operations

WHITE PAPER
By National Reunification Institute

The National Reunification Institute released a white paper Friday exposing the criminal nature of the leaflet-scattering operations which the U.S. and the south Korean puppet forces stage by instigating human scum:

The U.S. and the south Korean puppet forces are to blame for such a deplorable situation as today as they have escalated confrontation on the Korean peninsula and gave rise to the leaflet issue that has increased the danger of a war.

During the Korean war in the past the U.S. formed psychological warfare units under the Command of the U.S. forces in the Far East and the Command of the 8th army and let them scatter anti-DPRK leaflets in different parts of Korea.

Anti-DPRK leaflets scattered by the U.S. imperialist aggressor forces in January 1952 alone numbered over 150 million.

The number of anti-DPRK leaflets scattered by the U.S. imperialist aggressor forces during the three-year war stood at more than 2 460 million, accordi…

Hostile forces' anti-DPRK "human rights" racket slammed

Pyongyang, October 17 (KCNA) -- The spokesman for the DPRK Association for Human Rights Studies issued the following statement on Friday:

The report of the DPRK Association for Human Rights Studies which most comprehensively and correctly reflects the human rights performance of the DPRK where the people have become masters of the country was distributed as an official document of the UN General Assembly, UN Security Council and UN Human Rights Council.

As already reported, no sooner had the report which historically, systematically and comprehensively deals with the nature of the socialist system of the DPRK centered on the popular masses, its policy of ensuring human rights and the people's enjoyment of human rights been published than it commanded strong support and deep sympathy of the international community.

Many media of the world gave wide publicity to the full text or main contents of the report and widely reported about the briefings clarifying the human rights performance …

U.S. plan to use nuclear weapons on Korean Peninsula blasted

Pyongyang, October 17 (KCNA) -- A spokesman for the Pan-national Committee for Emergency Measures against North-targeted Nuclear War Exercises released a statement Friday in connection with the recent disclosure of another U.S. reckless scenario for a nuclear war on the Korean Peninsula.

By opening to public its plan for the use of nuclear weapons the U.S. has become unable to deny any longer that the large-scale anti-DPRK war exercises which it stages every year with the south Korean puppet forces under the pretext of "annual defensive exercises" are nuclear war drills for putting into practice the scenario for nuclear attack on the DPRK, the statement said, and went on:

Lurking behind the plan for the use of nuclear weapons against the DPRK is the U.S. sinister purpose to highlight "nuclear threat from the north", keep the puppet warmongers bound more tightly to the military alliance for aggression and thus hurl them as nuclear war servants and a shock brigade for …

US slammed for its attempt to use nuclear weapons

STATEMENT
By NPCK Spokesperson

A spokesman for the National Peace Committee of Korea made public the following statement Thursday as regards the recent disclosure of the U.S. attempt to use nuclear weapons against the DPRK in case of contingency on the Korean Peninsula:

Former U.S. Secretary of Defense Panetta in his recent memoir confessed the fact that during his south Korean visit in October of 2011, he informed the then south Korean puppet minister of Defense of the U.S. stand to use nukes if necessary in case of contingency on the Korean Peninsula. He also opened to public the fact that when he visited south Korea in the capacity of the director of CIA in 2010 he received a report from the then commander of the U.S. forces present in south Korea that a war scenario against the DPRK included the program for using nukes.

The U.S. has staged large-scale nuclear war maneuvers including Key Resolve, Foal Eagle and Ulji Freedom Guardian in south Korea every year but it is the first time…

Unreasonable acts of chilling atmosphere for Improving north-south ties

OPEN REPORT by KCNA

Pyongyang, October 16 (KCNA) -- The Korean Central News Agency released an open report Thursday to let the public know about the whole story of how the north-south emergency contact in Panmunjom on Wednesday ended without any fruit.

The report said:

The talks between north-south high-ranking officials in Inchon on October 4 made a great contribution to creating an atmosphere favorable for improving the north-south relations.

But there occurred an undesirable incident at 10 a.m. on October 7 in which both sides opened fire at the warships of the other side in the hotspot waters in the West Sea of Korea.

Out of the sincere mind that we can no longer tolerate the repetition of such a case as chilling the hard-won atmosphere, the north side immediately sent a notice to the chief of the "security office" of Chongwadae proposing holding an emergency one-to-one contact.

But the south Korean authorities in the reply message declined the offer for the emergency contact,…

Obama administration assailed for preventing work to unearth remains of GIs

Pyongyang, October 13 (KCNA) -- A spokesman for the Panmunjom Mission of the Korean People's Army issued the following statement on Oct. 13:

It was the U.S. that suspended the unearthing of the remains of GIs which had been under way in the territory of the DPRK as part of the extremely hostile policy towards it, but the U.S. Department of Defense recently resorted to the base move to shift the responsibility for it on to the DPRK.

U.S. Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel, addressing a ceremony of commemorating "the day of POWs and missing persons in action" on Sept. 19, asserted that it was the U.S. stand not to forget those missing GIs in action but find out them to the last one and make sure that they were handed to their families, while claiming that the DPRK was to blame for the failure to resume the unearthing of the remains of GIs in its territory. He talked such rubbish that this problem depends on the implementation of the resolution of the UN Security Council.

Spokesman for DPRK FM slams US frantic anti-DPRK campaign

STATEMENT
By DPRK FM Spokesperson

The spokesman for the Foreign Ministry of the DPRK released the following statement Saturday:

The U.S. is becoming all the more pronounced in its hostile moves against the DPRK.

After ceaselessly staging war maneuvers against the DPRK from the outset of the year with huge armed forces and destructive weapons involved, the U.S. is intensifying its anti-DPRK operations, while totally denying its line, policies and social system.

This is clearly evidenced by the fact that the U.S. is running the whole gamut of invectives against the DPRK over its nuclear issue and "human rights" issue and all other matters.

On Sept. 23 U.S. Secretary of State Kerry held a "high-level meeting" with those toeing the U.S. line to pull up the DPRK over its "human rights" issue at which he malignantly slandered its social system. The U.S. assistant secretary of State for Democracy, Human Rights and Labor disclosed the U.S. intention to continue en…

South Korean authorities should support proposal for achieving reunification by federal formula

STATEMENT
By DPRK FM DPI Spokesperson

The spokesman for the Disarmament and Peace Institute of the DPRK Foreign Ministry Wednesday released the following statement:

We will soon greet the 34th anniversary of the proposal for founding the Democratic Federal Republic of Koryo advanced by President Kim Il Sung, the eternal sun of the Korean nation.

The President clarified the proposal at the historic Sixth Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea on October 10, Juche 69 (1980), indicating the most correct orientation and way for achieving national reunification.

The proposal calls for setting up a reunified national state, keeping the ideologies and social systems that exist between the north and the south as they are, through the establishment of a unified national government, a government under which the north and the south exercise regional autonomy.

Differing ideologies and social systems have existed in the north and the south for nearly seven decades and they preserve their own s…
